Sandy Brown Jensen
Artist Bio:
Sandy Brown Jensen is an award-winning photographer who has done many gallery shows in the Pacific Northwest. She is the co-host for Viz City, KLCC’s Arts Review Program. Sandy’s MFA is in Poetry, and she has retired from a career in teaching writing at Lane CC (although she still teaches). Her interest in imagistic poetry hasn’t changed, but she has moved from the pen to the camera. She has a post-graduate certificate in Digital Storytelling (narrated short videos), which can be found on her vlog mindonfire.us. She shoots with her iPhone, an Olymus OMDEM-5 with a variety of LensBaby lenses, and a Panasonic Lumix converted infrared camera.
Artist Statement:
I am a dreamer, and I am interested in photographing those dreamlike moments between worlds; the hour before dark, windows that open into mysterious or suggestive interiors; the shore between sea and land—moments where one world somehow comes to an end and flows into something new.
